Job summary

The American Red Cross in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a QC Laboratory Technologist to perform basic through advanced manufacturing, processing and testing of blood products, interpreting results before releasing them to area hospitals.

You will manufacture and prepare pathogen-reduced platelet products in a highly regulated environment, with strong attention to detail and a customer-service mindset for both internal and external customers. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science, or Bachelor’s degree in an applied science.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use a wide variety of lab or medical equipment, PC and applicable software.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate to high complexity laboratory testing procedures and interpret results on donor specimens and blood products.
• Meet quality and production goals and ensure products are suitable for release for distribution.
• Prioritize workload and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
