Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Quarantine and Labeling Technician to perform final product labeling, quarantine evaluation, and release decisions for blood products. You will work independently in a high-volume environment with strong adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good computer skills and attention to detail required.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and lab equipment; strong documentation and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, label, and store blood products following Red Cross policies.
• Receive and review test results; run labeling programs and processes.
• May irradiate/x-ray blood products for special orders.
• Manage sample tubes and prepare for shipment while handling exceptions.
• Meet department production and distribution goals and prioritize workload.
• Perform data entry and use component production systems; disposition unacceptable items.
• Operate, maintain, and validate lab equipment and quality checks.
• Maintain inventory locations and ensure adequate supplies.
