Job summary

Momentive is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to perform QC testing across assigned labs in a safe, timely manner. The role includes in-process and final testing, housekeeping, and data reporting.

The position may float to different QC labs as needed, with a starting pay rate of $38.08 per hour. Ideal candidates possess a two-year science/engineering degree or 3–5 years of lab experience, strong multitasking abilities, and proficiency with lab equipment such as X-ray, FTIR, tensometers,

Qualifications

• Two year college degree in scientific or engineering field or 3-5 years of documented technical laboratory experience.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and multiple tasks as required, in different laboratories.
• Operate & maintain a variety of test equipment including X-ray, BETC, Tensometers, FTIR, viscometer, hydraulic press.
• Perform routine equipment troubleshooting.
• Ability to effectively utilize computers & site licensed programs.

Responsibilities

• Clean dishes and labware.
• Retains management and transfers to storage areas.
• Executes weekly beds & fines testing.
• Restocks supplies and changes waste drums.
• Perform basic in process & final testing.
• Report results & disposition material in SAP monitors SAP card updates.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting and calibrations.
• Inspect weekly showers, eye wash & fire extinguishers.
• Collect water samples for waste water testing.
• Maintain accuracy & timeliness of test data.
