Job summary

Phibro Animal Health Corporation is hiring an entry-level QC Laboratory Technician for our Sarasota, FL site. The role involves performing quality control tests on fermentation cultures, preparing media, and maintaining lab records within the Quality Control department.

The position is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, with potential for weekend work and OT. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential to ensure product quality for animal health and nutrition solutions.

Qualifications

• Applicant should have previous lab experience in biology, chemistry, microbiology, or a related field.
• Bachelor's in Biological Sciences
• Knowledge of microorganisms, pathogens, & seed train scale up procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media; set up, operate, clean and maintain equipment at the bench
• Performs various testing
• Accurately and precisely prepare and analyze samples
• Backup to QA Coordinator
