Job summary

Kelly Services in Akron, OH is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician for a contract-to-hire role. The position runs 3pm-1am, four 10-hour days, with rotating schedule and $24/hour pay. You will perform routine QC analyses, assist chemists, and ensure compliance with safety practices.

You'll support two production areas, handle data entry, waste management, and inventory, and engage in proactive safety and equipment maintenance while upholding CHP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in applied science or 3 years laboratory experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic math and PC literacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory Quality Control functions, including wet chemical, physical, and instrumental analysis.
• Assist Chemists with data entry, housekeeping, waste management, inventory levels, equipment repair and maintenance, and reporting to production.
• Conform to safe laboratory practices in accordance with the Chemical Hygiene Plan and Chemical Plant requirements and regulations.
• Maintain working knowledge of testing procedures, protocols, and priorities for two production areas.
• Perform other duties as required.
