Job summary

Teknor Apex Company seeks a QC Lab Technician for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) at the Jamestown, NC plant. This on-site role requires a 2-year science degree or equivalent color-related experience, strong math and data-analysis skills, and proficiency with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities include batch adjustments, raw material testing, and trend analysis to maintain product quality. The position offers full-time hours with competitive pay in the $20.00–$25.00 per hour range, plus

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending upon experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make batch adjustments based on standardized procedures and guidelines
• Test raw materials based on standardized procedures; perform gage R & R studies; and complete other functions that may be assigned.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex numerical data is required. Proficiency with computers using Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook are also required. Must be able to recognize trends and adjust color based on trends.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex numerical data is required
• Color vision with shade discrimination
• Proficiency with computers using Windows Operating Systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, is also required.

• Experience with color analysis and adjustment
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work closely with the shift supervisor
• Excellent attendance and dependability
• Ability to work overtime to meet business demands

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2-year degree in a science field; or one to three years related color experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
