Job summary

Sirius Staffing is hiring a QC Lab Technician for a specialty chemical manufacturing site in Greensboro. You will test and validate raw materials, process solutions, in-process samples, and finished goods for the manufacturing, R&D, and product development teams. You will also keep the lab instruments calibrated and running. This is a long-term contract role.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:45 AM to 5:45 PM. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or technical field; at least one year of college-level chemistry preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a chemical, analytical, or quality control laboratory.
• Technical experience with chromatography, automated chemistry systems, and PC data control.

Responsibilities

• Test in-process samples, then report and validate results.
• Test finished goods samples, then report and validate results.
• Test raw materials and process solutions, then report and validate results.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate lab instruments.
• Support manufacturing, R&D, and product development with accurate inspection data.
• Follow operating procedures to keep the workplace safe and protect the environment.
• Observe and report all incidents and unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs without mechanical assistance
• Ability to stay on your feet and be active for long shifts
• Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory protection, safety shoes, and eye, hand, and hearing protection, and a hard hat
