Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a QC Lab Supervisor I to lead a high-performing team on the Alabama site. You will prioritize shop floor presence, oversee raw materials, in-process and final product testing, and ensure compliance with cGMP and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, such as chemistry, microbiology, or biology.
• 2+ years of QC lab experience.
• Strong scientific knowledge and technical expertise in chemistry, investigations, analytical equipment, and lab operations.
• General knowledge of cGMPs, compendia, and regulations.
• Proven problem-solving, teamwork, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and interpret lab data for appropriate actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team with strong shop floor presence; manage performance and training.
• Oversee lab group operations including raw materials, finished products, and environmental monitoring.
• Identify data that requires attention and implement corrective actions.
• Review and approve data related to analytical product release where applicable.
• Support investigations and corrective actions for out-of-spec results.
• Communicate QC metrics and lead Tier meetings.
