Job summary

FUJIFILM Electronic Materials, U.S.A., Inc. in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Quality Control Lab Manager to lead the QC laboratory, ensuring quality systems, safety, and efficient operations in a fast-paced production environment.

You will mentor chemists and technicians, drive continuous improvement, oversee data integrity, calibration, and audits, and partner with manufacturing and engineering to support process requirements.

Qualifications

• BS in chemistry or a related science degree with five years of experience managing a fast paced production-support laboratory.
• Previous supervisory and statistical experience required.
• Database administration experience including MS Access and SQL Server.
• Prior experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 certification and Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Power BI, and JMP.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking and shifting priorities, including off-shift coverage.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for continuous improvements in quality control and quality assurance.
• Support FFEM quality systems and certifications.
• Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and prioritize workloads to meet business needs.
• Be a main point of contact to support manufacturing and engineering process requirements.
• React, respond, and report non-standard, out-of-control, and out-of-spec conditions from the manufacturing process.
• Promote and enforce safety by supporting current practices and EHS initiatives.
• Drive metrology development with GR&R, training, and instrument troubleshooting for analytical methods.
• Drive change in all areas of the lab for the benefit of FFEM and its customers.
• Support and drive management of change from beginning to end.
• Administer instrument health, maintenance, calibration, and outside service support.
• Conduct performance reviews for direct reports and overall lab staffing.
