Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Manager of the Quality Control Lab to own inspection workflows, metrology standards and lab personnel development.

You will coordinate all lab activities in a 24/7 manufacturing environment to ensure products meet the highest standards and to support aggressive production ramps. You will standardize and scale QC operations, provide data-driven visibility to executives, manage resources, recruit and train staff, and ensure audit readiness for ISO 9001/AS9100 and

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Control, Metrology, or Inspection within a high-precision manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of formal management experience (M2 or Lead level), with multi-shift team leadership.
• Mastery of GD&T and advanced metrology equipment.
• Budgeting, staffing, and forecasting resource needs based on production volume.
• Deep understanding of ISO 9001 or AS9100 in a lab setting.
• Ability to translate complex quality data into executive narratives.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily operations and long-term scheduling for the QC inspection team.
• Advise on measurement strategy, equipment downtime, and bottlenecks.
• Establish engineering standards, lab safety, and validation methods for metrology equipment.
• Provide accurate turnaround times to Program Managers and execs.
• Architect and maintain KPIs to drive lab efficiency improvements.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and multi-shift training for the QC team.
• Ensure audit readiness for ISO 9001/AS9100 and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Digital teams to integrate data with MES/ERP.
