Job summary

Ashton North LLC is seeking a hands-on QC Laboratory Leader to drive a 24/7 analytical operation in a specialty chemical manufacturing setting. You will lead a team, ensure rapid, accurate testing, and uphold ISO/QMS standards while partnering with Production to optimize quality and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, deep hands-on experience with HPLC/GC/GC-MS, LIMS, and ERP systems, and a track record of continuous improvement within regulated environments.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Chemistry with 5+ years in analytical/QC labs.
• 3+ years of proven leadership in a laboratory setting.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation and testing methods.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality systems in regulated environments.
• Experience with LIMS and ERP systems like JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a QC laboratory team with daily operations.
• Support 24/7 manufacturing by prioritizing workflow and resources.
• Perform and interpret analyses using HPLC, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and NMR.
• Oversee organic analytical and wet chemistry testing of materials and products.
• Review data, authorize release, and ensure data integrity in ERP/LIMS.
• Lead CAPA investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain laboratory documentation, SOPs, methods, specifications, and ISO/QMS compliance.
• Manage resources, instrumentation, and personnel training to meet production goals.
