Job summary

FXI in Santa Teresa, NM seeks a lab technician to manage certification sheets, daily foam data entry, and coordination of lab files. The role covers testing foam properties, preparing samples, and communicating findings to production and customers.

You will create lab spreadsheets, analyze results, run unknown foam analyses for quotes, and participate in MSAs and corrective/preventive actions to maintain lab integrity and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create, send, and file lab certification sheets for customers
• Enter lab data into database daily and coordinate lab files
• Work with production keeping abreast of daily foam results and customer cert sheet needs
• Coordinate, prepare, and ship lab samples to customers
• Create spreadsheets of lab results to analyze lab data
• Conducts all physical testing on foam in the lab for example: Density, ILD, Tensile, Tear, Elongation, etc.
• Schedule sample cuts and cut on Bandsaw for various tests
• Send certification sheets to appropriate customers
• Run analysis on unknown foams for sales quotations
• Conduct and help maintain MSA studies
• Maintain Lab integrity in terms of cleanliness and other specific requirements
• Prepare and maintain lab equipment
• Communications with supervisor when non-conforming product.
• Stops production to correct quality problems.
• Environmental aspect and impact awareness.
• Report any inconsistency or nonconformance on the product and participate in the corrective/preventive actions process
