Job summary

Lee Kum Kee is seeking a QC Inspector to support online, sanitation, and receiving inspection activities in our City of Industry, CA facility. The role ensures product quality through GMP-compliant inspections, accurate record-keeping, and timely communication with production and QA managers.

The ideal candidate has at least a high school diploma, 1 year in quality inspection (food industry preferred), and the ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams with attention to detail

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct online inspections and verify control parameters according to procedures for production, filling and packaging.
• Record inspection results including weight, temperature, packaging material, product code and container closure.
• Perform GMP/hygiene inspections and report violations to supervisor/QA Manager.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging materials per QA/QC instructions; take samples as needed.
• Calibrate inspection equipment and report malfunctions; assist QA Manager with quality compliance tasks.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs works related to online inspection, sanitation inspection, receiving inspection, and other activities related to quality assurance and quality control.

Online Inspection

• Conduct online inspections and verify the control parameters according to procedures and instructions for production, filling and packaging process.
• Record result of inspection, including weigh-up, filling temperature, packaging material, product code, container closure, etc.
• Perform GMP/hygiene inspection based on GMP and hygiene standards. Correct GMP/hygiene violation and report to production supervisor and/or QA Manager.
• All jobs shall be conducted timely according to QA/QC work instruction.

Sanitation Inspection

• Conduct daily and monthly sanitation inspections, including pre-operation inspection and post-operation inspection.
• Perform ATP test and environmental swabbing.
• Monitor environmental air quality and inspect employees’ hygiene condition.
• Record the result of inspection and communicate with Production Supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager.

Receiving Inspection procedures

• Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging materials according to QA/QC work instruction.
• Take samples when needed according to the receiving manual
• Organize and update Raw Material Manual.
• Organize and update receiving records.
• Organize and update COA from suppliers

Other tasks

• Observe and record nonconforming products / production and promptly communicate with production supervisor and Quality Assurance Manager or designee for immediate action.
• Make routine decisions for product holding, production line holding, etc, and verify correction and corrective action and document the incident accordingly.
• Calibrate equipment used for inspections and report immediately if the device is malfunction.
• Assist Quality Assurance Manager with any tasks related to quality compliance.
• Perform other special assignment from the management.
