Job summary

James Fisher Technologies is seeking an experienced QC Inspector to ensure products from internal and external vendors meet technical requirements. The role covers documentation, inspections, and release of parts into production, with travel to vendor locations as needed.

The position requires reading drawings, performing precision measurements, and maintaining inspection records in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of ISO 9001 quality management experience.
• Experience with ASME, NQA-1 and 10CFR50 Appendix B is a plus.
• Proficient reading of technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Gather certifications and documents for ISO 9001, ASME, NQA-1, and 10CFR50 Appendix B programs.
• Review and approve quality paperwork.
• Perform day-to-day quality inspections from receipt to final testing using calibrated tools.
• Measure precision machined components against drawings and specifications.
• Create and maintain inspection records in electronic systems.
• Report defects promptly using standard frameworks.
• Accept or reject material and document anomalies.
• Read and follow written procedures and drawings.
• Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
