Job summary

Trumpf Inc. in Millbury, MA is seeking a Level II Quality Control Inspector for the 2nd shift. You will interpret drawings, select inspection criteria, operate precision measuring instruments, document nonconformances, and support corrective actions to prevent defects.

This role requires 3+ years in QC, ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams, and compliance with ITAR when handling controlled data. High school diploma required; 4-day workweek currently offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing/technical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection procedures.
• Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products against drawings and quality requirements.
• Interpret drawings and inspection criteria to make accurate decisions.
• Operate calibration and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Document nonconformances and communicate deviations to prevent impact on quality or delivery.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing to investigate issues and support corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports and ensure traceability per procedures and customer requirements.
• Follow quality management system requirements and safety procedures.
