Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a 1st Shift QC Inspector to support hardware and software test setup and completion per production requirements.

The role requires reading production documents, accurate data recording, arithmetic calculations, and strong organizational skills. You will report progress, maintain logs, and participate in QCI testing and conformance assessments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write to interpret production documents and accurately record required information.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations using taught methods or a calculator.
• Eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity for small parts.
• Organizational skills to maintain a clean workstation.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions and follow directions.
• Qualified to perform multiple jobs and train other employees.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform hardware and software setup for QCI test initiation and completion per production lot traveler.
• Report status to Production Supervisor daily.
• Develop and perform QCI testing as defined by production lot traveler and ISO 9000 Level III.
• Determine conformance to specification requirements and product performance characteristics.
• Perform sample lot formation and test sample preparation.
• Understand and create test report spreadsheet formats as required by VTF part specs.
• Fabrication of any special test tooling and fixtures.
• Develop and maintain appropriate paperwork, travelers, and logbooks in an organized manner.
