Job summary

P&E Constructors, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector with industrial experience to join our team. The role focuses on inspections of materials and products to ensure compliance with specifications, and on maintaining quality documentation throughout projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of quality assurance processes, experience in a heavy industrial setting, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of heavy industrial construction industry.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of Quality Codes, Standards and Certifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes and implements Site Specific Quality Plan.
• Deliverables are submitted safely, with high quality and on time.
• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Inspects all Owner supplied and purchased engineered equipment and instrumentation.
• Supports Vendor and Subcontractor Back charge process with inspections and records.
• Oversees project surveillance and overall documentation.
• Creates and maintains quality documentation.
• Ensure companies and subcontractors are in compliance with applicable permits, licensing, and codes.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of quality management systems to enhance overall product quality.
• Participate in internal audits and assist in preparing for external audits related to quality standards.

Position Overview

Compensation

• The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

• Salary Range: $35.00 - $53.00 per hour
