Worldwide Oilfield Machine (WOM) is hiring a QC Inspector in Houston, TX to perform inspections at receiving, in-process and final to ensure conformance with drawings and specifications. The role includes hardness testing, NDE tasks, heat code and MTR verification, and maintaining traceability throughout production.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, 5-7 years of related experience, and familiarity with GD&T and ASNT SNT-TC1A standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret engineering drawing, symbol, tolerances.
• Basic Computer Skill – MS Office.
• Familiarity with GD&T required.
• Ability to file NCR.
• Visual Acuity Testing that meets the applicable requirements of ASNT SNT-TC1A.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections and tests for/at receiving, in-process and final for all production parts at our BOP location.
• Perform hardness testing.
• Perform NDE tasks as per qualification.
• Determine accuracy of heat codes and Mill Test Report (MTR).
• Verify traceability prior to release of the product.
• Maintain compliance with Quality Policy and QMS requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, Supervisors and Managers.
• Assign Heat Codes to all purchased raw material/Welding consumables and update on Syteline.
• Perform receiving inspection on buy-out parts or parts received from vendors.
• Verify dimensions, fit-up and weld preparations against drawings/specifications.
• Follow inspection priorities and assist in calibration processes when required.
• File NCRs for non-conformances and take corrective action as per engineering disposition.
• Comply with health and safety rules and company procedures.
• Assist supervisors, engineers and managers in quality control tasks.

We are hiring a QC Inspector who will be responsible for performing inspections and test for/at receiving in-process and final for all production parts at our BOP location.

• Responsible for performing hardness testing
• Responsible for performing NDE tasks as per qualification
• Responsible for determining accuracy of heat codes and Mill Test Report (MTR)
• Verification of traceability prior to release of the product
• Know and understand Quality Policy and comply with all QMS requirements
• Maintain professional relationship with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, Supervisors and Managers
• Assign Heat Codes to all purchased raw material/ Welding consumable update it on Syteline Perform receiving inspection on buy-out part or parts received from vendors
• Assign Heat Code on all job routers
• Verifies that dimensions, fit-up and weld preparations are in accordance with specifications and/or drawings, as applicable
• Ensure that the inspection priorities are followed
• When required, perform calibration and assist in Calibration related process
• Verify traceability and documentation for semi-finished/ Raw material received from internal companies
• File an NCR for non-compliances and take corrective action as per engineering disposition
• Comply with all health and safety rules
• Comply with Company’s QMS System procedures
• Assist supervisor, engineers and managers in any quality control & assurance related tasks as deemed necessary by supervisor

Requirements:

• High School diploma or a GED equivalent or equivalent work experience.
