Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking a Specialist for Quality Control Execution Support on the 2nd shift at the West Point site.

The role supports the analytical lifecycle, including new method introductions, tech transfers, troubleshooting, and investigations across biochemistry, microbiology, and separations. The position requires a chemistry/biology background with 1+ years in analytical method development, strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology or related field.
• 1+ years in analytical method introduction and qualification in biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience with analytical methods (HPLC, cGE, ELISA, Bioassays, PCR, compendial methods, microbial methods, cell-based assays).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and interact with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end method lifecycle, including new method introduction and tech transfer.
• Provide technical SME input for regulatory questions and audits.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and equipment; author investigations and regulatory responses.
• Train end users and site personnel on lab systems and processes.
• Lead change controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
