Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a QC Engineer (Ductbank) in Aiken, SC to support a multi-year construction project involving civil and electrical ductbank work. The role performs field QC inspections, analyzes drawings, documents inspections, and ensures adherence to QMS, ASME NQA-1, and DOE 414.1D requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality control/construction inspection experience.
• Experience with ductbank, electrical infrastructure, civil/sitework.
• Knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and DOE Order 414.1D quality requirements.
• Ability to interpret civil/electrical drawings, specifications, procedures, work packages, and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform field quality control inspections for electrical ductbank and civil construction activities.
• Verify construction complies with approved drawings, specifications, QMS, ASME NQA-1, and DOE 414.1D requirements.
• Inspect ductbank excavation, subgrade, bedding, conduit installation, spacing, and alignment.
• Verify conduit size, routing, elevations, bends, spacing, supports, terminations, and configuration.
• Inspect reinforcing steel, embeds, forms, and other items before concrete placement.
• Ensure pre-placement inspections, hold points, and witness points are completed.
• Witness and/or verify concrete testing, placement, curing, and related inspection documentation.
• Verify ductbank interfaces with manholes, structures, equipment, and site interfaces.
• Review drawings, ITPs, and quality documentation to determine inspection requirements.
• Identify nonconforming work and document CAQs; initiate NCRs and corrective actions.
