Job summary

PCI Pharma Services in San Diego, CA seeks a QC Chemistry Group Lead to oversee analytical operations across proteins, peptides, small molecules, large molecules, and ADCs. You will drive method transfers, verify assays, and ensure GMP compliance while guiding a diverse team of scientists.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Life Sciences (preferred) and 4+ years in quality control, including at least 1 year of leadership. Strong communication and data interpretation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent required; Life Sciences preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant quality control experience.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with electronic Quality Systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Leads and collaborates on method establishment for compendial assays and other chemistry methods.
• Performs routine analysis for pH, osmolality, HVLD, ELISA, CE-SDS, SDS-PAGE, viscosity, moisture content.
• Provides scientific direction and technical problem solving to team members and internal stakeholders.
• Interacts with clients and follows up on client inquiries.
• Reviews data, deviations, OOS investigations and test results; provides conclusions and proposals for future directions.
• Technical writing of investigations for deviations and out of specification reports.
• Ensures maintenance of laboratory instrumentation.
