Join to apply for the QC Chemist I role at GE HealthCare Voluson Ultrasound

This position involves in-process and release testing of injectable pharmaceutical finished products produced on site. The chemist will participate in developing new procedures and validation studies related to analytical testing. The work is technical and requires accuracy and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Perform analytical testing on in-process and final products using techniques such as HPLC, FTIR, ICP-OES, UV/VIS, Liquid Scintillation, and Gamma Spectrometer.
2. Investigate OOS results and track analytical data trends.
3. Support validation projects and contribute to process improvements through Lean and 5S methodologies.
4. Assist in stocking and supplying the QC lab, and perform visual inspections of finished products.

Quality specific goals:

• Understand acceptance criteria for incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product conformity.
• Comply with quality management systems, documentation practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Complete required training and report any quality or compliance concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science field.
• Proficiency with relevant software applications.
• Availability for nights and weekends, ability to distinguish color, and lift 25 lbs.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Waters Empower or similar software.
• Equipment experience with HPLC, ICP, UV/Vis, FT-IR.
• Experience working with radioactive materials and visual inspection.
• Knowledge of USP and FDA regulated QC environments.
