Job Description Summary

You will be responsible for in-process and release testing of injectable pharmaceutical finished products produced on site. The chemist participates in the development of new procedures and is involved in validation studies related to analytical testing. Work is technical and specialized, requiring accuracy and attention to detail.

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business

is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.

Key responsibilities/essential functions:
  • Performs analytical testing on in-process and final products.
  • Uses HPLC, FTIR, ICP-OES, UV/VIS, Liquid Scintillation, and Gamma Spectrometer.
  • Participates in investigations of OOS results.
  • Tracks and trends analytical data.
  • Supports validation projects requiring analytical support.
  • Contributes to process improvement through Lean and 5S methodologies.
  • Assists in stocking and supplying the QC lab.
  • Performs visual inspection of finished products.
Quality Specific Goals
  • Understanding of inspection requirements to ensure product conformance.
  • Knowledge of Stop Orders, CAPA, Calibration, documentation practices, and compliance standards.
  • Adherence to GEHC Quality Manual, policies, and applicable regulations.
  • Completes all planned quality and compliance training.
  • Reports and addresses quality or compliance concerns promptly.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science (preferred).
  • Proficiency with relevant software applications.
  • Availability for nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Waters Empower or similar software.
  • Experience with HPLC, ICP, UV/Vis, FT-IR equipment.
  • Experience working with radioactive materials and gamma spectrometers.
  • Visual inspection experience and knowledge of USP standards.
  • Background in Math or Chemistry.

For U.S. positions, the pay range is $50,336.00-$75,504.00 annually, dependent on skills and experience. Compensation may include bonuses and incentives. GE HealthCare offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more.
