Job Shift: Day

Description

Duties:

Performs all required analytical testing in accordance to current USP/NF and internal testing requirements

Develops and conducts quality control programs for raw materials, chemical intermediates and final products.

Provides support to QC and production departments by testing raw materials, in-process and finished products

Works with chemical engineers and analytical chemists on multidisciplinary research and development projects.

Maintains reference standard inventory.

Ensures calibration of equipment is maintained.

Completes all lab testing reporting according to cGLPs.

Files and maintains completed lab reports.

Reports To: QC Manager

Qualifications

Required skills:

A minimum of BS in Chemistry or related science required.

Academic or industry experience performing analytical and wet chemistry testing (academic coursework alone will not be considered experience)

Able to provide technical advice for other professionals.

Practical knowledge of analytical equipment (FTIR, UV_VIS, Automatic Titrator, Polarimeter, TLC, wet chemistry tests, pH, Atomic Absorption, HPLC).

Personal Characteristics:

The ability to think analytically and solve problems, conceptualize and complete tasks

An aptitude for physics, mathematics and chemistry

Good oral and written communication skills

A willingness to improve their knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis

The ability to work effectively with groups of people from various disciplines and educational and cultural backgrounds

Ability to confidently represent QC and quality practices and decisions

Confidently represent company interests to vendors and others
