Job summary

Eurofins PSS is seeking a QC Analytical Chemist Group Leader to oversee GMP testing of in-process materials, APIs, and stability samples. You will lead a 3–5 person team, drive method transfer projects, and investigate OOS/OT/invalid results while ensuring top-quality laboratory operations.

The role requires GMP/GLP experience, LC/Conductivity/Titration skills, and strong leadership. Albany, NY area, full-time, on-site with a rotating shift and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or related field with 3+ years GMP/GLP testing.
• MS in Chemistry or Life Sciences with 1+ years GMP/GLP testing.
• Industry experience with LC, Conductivity, and Titration.
• Knowledge of GMPs, ICH, and 21 CFR guidelines.
• Prior leadership experience in a scientific setting.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Conduct testing and review in accordance with approved methods, specifications, protocols, and compendial requirements.
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of chemists and coordinate client communication.
• Participate in method transfer, qualification, and verification studies.
• Support investigations for OOS, OOT, and invalid results.
• Ensure adherence to GMP regulations and 21 CFR guidelines; maintain quality and efficiency in lab operations.
• Balance technical work with leadership responsibilities and onboarding/training.
