Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Texas seeks a QA/QC Technician to uphold product quality through rigorous inspection and testing. You will perform mechanical integrity, pipe and vessel inspections, and use precision instruments to verify dimensions and performance.

You will document results, identify defects, and collaborate with production and engineering staff to drive continuous improvement while following QA standards and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, Engineering, or related field is required.
• Certification in Quality Control or Quality Assurance (e.g., ASQ) is preferred.
• Experience with statistical process control and QA methodologies.
• Experience in a QA role within manufacturing is preferred.
• Knowledge of industry quality standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Must have extensive knowledge of Mechanical Integrity, Pipe Inspection, Vessel Inspection as well as UT Fitness Inspections.
• Conduct inspections and tests on products and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Document and report inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and paperwork for all inspections.
• Identify and monitor defects and discrepancies to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify product dimensions and performance.
• Maintain equipment and ensure calibration and accuracy of testing devices.
• Train production staff in quality control procedures and protocols.
• Analyze test data and communicate findings to relevant departments for process improvements.
• Interpret and apply quality assurance standards and regulations.
