Job summary

The Veterans Health Administration's Battle Creek VA Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) to lead QA and PI programs for the Community Living Center.

The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, analyze quality measures, develop corrective action plans, and ensure survey readiness while applying LEAN approaches and HATCh principles to drive system improvements for Veterans and families.

Qualifications

Lead, coordinate, and implement quality management and performance improvement programs.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with age-specific components.
Track, trend, and analyze clinical pathways and quality measures; develop action plans.

Responsibilities

Chair multidisciplinary meetings and participate in facility-wide committees.
Consult staff on quality concerns, survey readiness, and program implementation.
Apply HATCh model of care and LEAN methodologies to foster high-functioning teams.
Support Home Based Primary Care and collaborate on corrective action plans and accreditation prep.
Mentor and educate staff, promoting professional growth.
Ensure privacy, security, and safety standards compliance.
