Job summary

PACS in the United States seeks a Quality Assurance Nurse to plan, organize, and direct QA programs in a long-term care setting. The role develops QA/assessment processes, monitors trends, and reports to the QAPI committee.

Collaboration with the IDT is essential for education and training, with oversight of infection control and survey deficiency corrections as needed. Qualified applicants are RN or LVN with 3 years of long-term care experience; QAPI certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be RN or LVN with 3 years long-term care experience.
• QAPI knowledge and infection control experience preferred.
• Ability to read/analyze, write reports, and present to management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct QA programs and activities.
• Develop and coordinate QA/assessment programs to improve resident care.
• Monitor trends and prepare quality reports for the QAPI committee.
• Work with IDT to provide education and training based on findings.
• Oversee infection control program including surveillance and investigation.
• Participate in correction of survey deficiencies and staff training.
