Job summary

SFE is seeking a QAD Developer for a contract role in the United States. The position is 100% remote with the work based in Marietta, GA.

You will handle QAD across modules or at least Distribution and Manufacturing, and contribute to MAAS engagements including design, development, and testing in Progress OpenEdge. Strong communication, documentation, analytical skills, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve recurring incidents are essential.

Qualifications

• Good QAD experience in all modules OR at least in Distribution and Manufacturing.
• Experience in QAD Application Management Service engagements: requirement design, development and testing (unit & integration). Proficiency with Progress OpenEdge.
• Strong communication, documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to quickly adapt and resolve incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide application functional and technical support.
• Own incidents from report to resolution; conduct RCA and action planning.
• Develop solutions, minor enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Follow change and release management policies; participate in audits and compliance.
• Update knowledge bases and guide best practices for ongoing solution development.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings and maintain knowledgebases.

Must-Have

Good-to-Have

• Knowledge/Experience in one or Two QAD Add-on modules like QAD QXtend, QAD Warehouse Management System, QAD Forecasting & Demand Planning System Experience in Supporting in 24 * 7 Support model

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Application Functional and Technical support
• Incident and Problem Management - Owns a specific Incident from initial report to resolution
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop action plan
• Developlement of Solution (Minor Enhancement, Bug Fixes etc.)
• Comply to Change Management and Release management Policies
• Participate in Audit & Compliance maintenance activities
• Assist team in Updating Knowledge base for known errors and provide guidance on Best practices for ongoing solution development
• Participates in technology/ functional meetings with various stakeholders
• Updating Knowledgebase/Known Error Database etc. at regular interval
• Customer facing for meetings, discussions etc.
