Job summary

Vytwo is seeking a QA professional with domain experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry to join a hybrid team in Santa Clara, CA. Responsibilities include analyzing samples, tuning instruments, and driving quality through automated and manual tests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, CS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of QTOF, LC, or GC Chromatography experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with CDS, LIMS, ELN, or SDMS.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, JMeter, and Postman is a plus.
• Experience in test automation or programming (C#, Playwright, Groovy, PowerShell, REST API).

Responsibilities

• Perform sample analysis, data processing, and maintenance of chromatography systems.

Job Description

• Background in Chemistries
• Familiarity with Chromatography and mass spectrometry HW and Applications (GC/LC/MS QTOF)
• Perform sample analysis, data processing, calibration, and maintenance of all chromatography systems
• Prepare reagents needed for analysis
• Perform instrument tuning and calibration
• Experience developing test designs and test cases for verification and validation of product functionality through manual and automated E2E tests
• Software solutions test planning
• Define and execute feature test cases
• Investigate errors, report potential software defects, and verify fixes
• Assess software performance
• Work in an agile development environment testing iteratively against newly developed code until quality metrics are achieved from an end customer's perspective
• Work with Engineering and Product Management teams to clearly communicate test results, recommended next steps, and timing for the next phase of feature releases
• Review and validate software requirements and functional design specifications
• Troubleshoot system issues and defects with Support, R&D, and implementation teams, propose solutions, test resolutions, and facilitate release to production
• Develop QA estimates for project and enhancement requests. Assist in scoping, planning, and scheduling QA activities.

Note: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, with onsite presence at the Santa Clara office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Computer Science, or other related field, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience in QTOF, LC, or GC Chromatography, including running samples and reporting results a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with laboratory informatics software such as a networked Chromatography Data System (CDS), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN), or Scientific Data Management System (SDMS)
• Experience in Jenkins, JMeter Benchmark, and Postman is a Plus
• Desired experience with test automation or software programming knowledge (C#, scripting such as Playwright, Groovy, PowerShell, REST API)
