Formación

• 3–5 years of mobile app testing experience, with at least 3 years in test automation.
• Strong proficiency with Appium and Java-based test development.
• Experience with XCUI (iOS) and Espresso (Android).
• Familiarity with JIRA, Zephyr, and defect tracking.
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD.
• BS/MS in CS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced automated test suites using Appium for iOS and Android.
• Execute manual and automated tests across mobile platforms, including post‑deployment and regression cycles.
• Document defects with clear reproducible steps and escalate critical issues promptly.
• Become a subject matter expert on mobile experiences and user flows.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and PMs to define acceptance criteria in sprint ceremonies.
• Create test plans for functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Coordinate QA activities across onshore and offshore teams.
• Monitor quality metrics and drive process improvements and automation strategy.

You will be instrumental in developing robust automation frameworks, executing comprehensive test strategies, and collaborating across agile teams to deliver flawless mobile applications. What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced automated test suites utilizing Appium, leveraging existing XCUI (iOS) and Espresso (Android) frameworks to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Execute thorough manual and automated tests across diverse mobile platforms, including critical post-deployment and regression testing cycles.
• Document and meticulously track defects with clear, actionable reproduction steps, promptly escalating critical issues to ensure rapid resolution.
• Become a subject matter expert in the mobile experiences managed by your team, deeply understanding user flows and system interactions.
• Analyze complex quality challenges, developing and implementing strategic, independent solutions to enhance product reliability.
• Create comprehensive test plans for functional, regression, and smoke testing, ensuring all aspects of the application are rigorously evaluated.
• Coordinate and synchronize QA activities between onshore and offshore teams, fostering a seamless and efficient workflow.
• Mentor and coach team members on advanced testing strategies, effective tools, and Agile best practices, elevating the team’s overall capability.
• Track key quality metrics such as test coverage and defect trends, ensuring all features consistently meet stringent business requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement by enhancing testing processes, frameworks, and methodologies, keeping the team at the cutting edge of quality assurance.
• Collaborate actively with developers, product owners, managers, and technical program managers during scrum ceremonies to define precise acceptance criteria, clarify requirements, and proactively identify potential quality risks.
• Lead daily stand-ups, providing timely and transparent updates on testing progress, release readiness, and any emerging concerns to management.
• Proactively communicate quality risks to stakeholders and meticulously maintain up-to-date card statuses throughout sprint cycles.
• Represent the team at Release meetings and other critical events, providing essential QA status updates and insights.

What You Bring:

• Strong proficiency with Appium for mobile test automation, demonstrating a deep understanding of its capabilities and best practices.
• Hands‑on coding experience in Java or other object‑oriented programming languages.
• Working knowledge of XCUI (iOS) and/or Espresso (Android) for native mobile testing.
• Experience with industry-standard test management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and ceremonies.
• Familiarity with mobile development lifecycles for both iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in mobile application testing (iOS/Android), with at least 3 years specifically in test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, coupled with strategic thinking ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively engaging both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to coordinate and manage geographically distributed teams.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

• Experience utilizing AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Cursor for test development.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies.
• Understanding of security testing and data compliance requirements.
• Prior experience in financial services or on trading platforms.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Swift programming languages.
