Role Summary
As a Software QA Tester at Founders Workshop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative software products. This position requires a meticulous and analytical approach to testing, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence. You will work closely with development teams to identify, report, and troubleshoot defects, ensuring that all aspects of our software meet rigorous quality standards.

What You'll Do

1. Design and execute detailed test plans and test cases, covering functional, regression, and exploratory testing. Provide accurate time estimates for each type of testing.
2. Collaborate with designers and product managers/owners to review workflows in Figma. Identify areas for design improvements or missing critical details, ensuring designs are development-ready.
3. Work with clearly defined requirements or take the lead in creating them as needed. Apply analytical skills to identify gaps and ensure alignment with project goals.
4. Partner with developers, designers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve defects. Contribute to improving team workflows.
5. Leverage industry standards, including ISTQB-aligned processes and documentation, to ensure consistent and robust testing methodologies.
6. Participate in team discussions to refine testing processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in quality control testing with web, mobile, and API applications.
• 1-2 years of experience in writing requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of ISTQB principles and best practices, with the ability to apply them across the software testing lifecycle. ISTQB certification (Foundation level or higher) strongly preferred.
• Proficient in English (B2 level or higher), with the ability to communicate clearly in both written and spoken formats as part of a remote, international team. Must be able to actively participate in meetings and contribute to project documentation.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
• Experience with Agile methodology is an advantage.
• Bonus points if you have worked in a startup or owned your own business.
• Experienced QA Professional: Bring a solid background in software testing with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and tools.
• Adaptable: Quick to adapt to new technologies and changing project requirements.
• Reliable Communicator: Clear, proactive communication ensuring stakeholders are well-informed and engaged. Meticulous in approach, consistently exceeding expectations.
• Detail-Oriented: Attention to detail to ensure no defect is overlooked and quality standards are maintained.
