Pay Rate: up to $32.59/hr on w2 (No C2C or 3rd parties)
Location: fully onsite in Foster City, CA
This position may require flexibility to work shifts based on operational needs, including early mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
- Helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Test Technician, QA to support vehicle readiness, execute software and hardware testing, and help maintain high safety standards both inside and outside the vehicle.
- In this role, you’ll perform testing, review and analyze data, create and document ZPTs, and identify both known and newly discovered issues. New issues must be logged in Jira and clearly communicated to the appropriate engineering teams. You’ll also collaborate with teams across computer vision, infrastructure, sound design, strategy, vehicle engineering, and ride operations.

- Support daily vehicle operations and readiness activities.
- Perform basic software operations and system checks.
- Support testing missions in a variety of roles both inside and outside vehicles.
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and operational metrics.
- Provide clear and accurate written and verbal feedback to engineering teams.
- Complete paperwork and documentation related to vehicle readiness.
- Analyze vehicle logs and test data using internal tools to identify failures and support root cause analysis.
- Support the defect management process from initial identification through resolution.
- Execute mission preparation procedures, including launching software across multiple devices, verifying software and hardware configurations, deploying software, collecting requested data, and escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct testing and data collection to improve processes and tools based on observed customer and operational needs.

Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive mindset and resourcefulness
- Have at least 2 YOE running complex testing or vehicle testing
- Basic QA testing experience
- Possess a \"get it done\" attitude, safety-first mindset, and a sense of urgency to resolve problems and tasks.
- Must have the proven ability to problem solve and deliver on high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency with MS Office/Google Suites
- Works well in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to code in Python (or other language)
- Experience with issue reporting tools (e.g. Jira)
- Experience with communication busses (e.g. CAN, ethernet, etc.)
- Scripting experience with a high-level language (e.g. Python)
