Job summary

SciTec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace, is seeking a Quality Assurance / Test Lead for a large software system supporting emergent missile defense needs. The role focuses on system integration, verification, and test planning across software, systems, and infrastructure teams.

You will develop test strategies, execute system-level tests, identify gaps, and drive improvements while coordinating with government and contractor stakeholders to ensure readiness and compliance with DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, Physical Sciences, or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience supporting system integration, test, or verification activities in a defense or complex systems environment.
• Experience with system-level verification and validation (V&V).
• Experience with the four layers of testing in the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience developing or executing test plans and test procedures.
• Ability to analyze system behavior against requirements, derived test criteria, and document results.
• Strong understanding of integration environments and test workflows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

• Support preparation for internal and external reviews, assessments, and demonstrations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of integration and test processes across programs.
• Derive metrics and acceptance criteria for system-level and acceptance-level testing from program requirements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience supporting system integration, test, or verification activities in a defense or complex systems environment
• Experience with system-level verification and validation (V&V)
• Experience with the four layers of testing in the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Experience developing or executing test plans and test procedures
• Ability to analyze system behavior against requirements, derived test criteria, and document results
• Strong understanding of integration environments and test workflows
• Experience collaborating across technical teams and stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:

• A current active DoD SECRET security clearance or higher
• Experience contributing to verification strategy development
• Experience supporting Missile Warning, space, or similar mission systems
• Experience working across multiple programs or system componentsExperience supporting customer-facing test events or demonstrations
• Experience in Agile or hybrid development environments

The pay range for this position is $152,000 to 191,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
