Job summary

Brakebush Brothers Irving is seeking a QA Technician for the West Side, 1st Shift. This role conducts product sampling and chemical, microbiological, and physical testing to ensure safety and quality.

It requires a high school diploma, ability to stand up to 8 hours, and willingness to work overtime. Initially, you will perform paperwork and data entry, maintain tools, and communicate deviations to the QA team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.
• Standing and walking up to 8 hours per day; overtime may be required.
• Ability to use a computer and complete paperwork accurately.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and quality control concepts.

Responsibilities

• Conducts product sampling and chemical, microbiological, and physical testing.
• Complete required paperwork and database entries accurately and timely.
• Maintain and clean assigned tools and equipment.
• Report deviations from processes or specifications to supervisor.
• Communicate with management on safety, production, and quality concerns.

Qualifications: Display positive attitude and team work skills. Must complete a pre-employment physical and drug test. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must be able and available to work overtime as required.
Job Summary: Essential duties & responsibilities include the following: Conducts product sampling as well as chemical, microbiological & physical testing.
Essential Functions:

• Basic comprehension of speaking, reading & writing in English
• Can write neatly and clearly on all paper-work.
• Show basic understanding of how to use and operate a computer (and take care of).
• Show comprehension and knowledge retention of all Brakebush Irving, Inc. training programs (specifically quality and food safety).
• Can be responsible for having, maintaining and cleaning assigned tools
• Can complete all required paperwork and database entries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Can communicate to direct report when there are deviations from the process or specification.
• Show basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication and/or division).
• Have a basic understanding of quality control (acceptable vs. unacceptable).
• Can place product on Hold and complete the Hold Tag process in an accurate and timely manner.
• Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following: Production Safety Employee Relations
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client.
  

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience : Entry-level .

Working Conditions: High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Employees will wear personal protective equipment as necessary or required.
