Job summary

Brakebush Irving, Inc. is seeking a QA Technician for the 3rd shift in Irving, TX. The role focuses on product sampling and various testing types to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Must pass pre-employment physical and drug test and be able to stand for extended periods. This nonexempt, full-time position reports to the QA Manager and involves overtime as needed, with benefits including health, dental, life, and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Job Summary: Essential duties & responsibilities include the following: Conducts product sampling as well as chemical, microbiological & physical testing.

Essential Functions

• Basic comprehension of speaking, reading & writing in English

• Can write neatly and clearly on all paper-work.

• Show basic understanding of how to use and operate a computer (and take care of).

• Show comprehension and knowledge retention of all Brakebush Irving, Inc. training programs (specifically quality and food safety).

• Can be responsible for having, maintaining and cleaning assigned tools

• Can complete all required paperwork and database entries accurately and in a timely manner.

• Can communicate to direct report when there are deviations from the process or specification.

• Show basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication and/or division).

• Have a basic understanding of quality control (acceptable vs. unacceptable).

• Can place product on Hold and complete the Hold Tag process in an accurate and timely manner.

• Communicating with management when there are concerns with the following: Production Safety Employee Relations

• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by customer or client.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions
