Job summary

Pilgrim is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Manteca, CA to support the QA department with product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong time-management skills. Responsibilities include online quality checks, CCP observations, GMP and sanitation monitoring, and maintaining production documentation.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• One year of experience in QA/QC in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work under minimum supervision and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).
• Finished product quality checks.
• CCP Direct Observations and documentation.
• Metal Detector calibrations and documentation.
• GMP and sanitation observations across the plant.
• Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.
• Check bellies at Bacon Press for proper temperature and feel of belly.
• Lead and document leaker checks.
• Verifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentation.
• Check labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.
• Return product checks/releases.
• Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & titrations.
• Printing cool down charts for process control sheets.

PRINCIPAL ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Finished product quality checks.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
