General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Lincoln, NE is seeking a QA Technician II on the 2nd shift to support metal parts manufacturing. You will follow established procedures, perform inspections, and document results to ensure compliance with quality standards.

This role requires basic analytical skills, initiative, and the ability to work under close supervision with a focus on safety. Training will cover quality systems, measurements, and problem-solving within a dynamic production

Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical training and 1–2 years' experience or equivalent.
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift.
  • Basic knowledge of quality systems and process auditing.

Responsabilités

  • Define and specify activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for materials, components, or products.
  • Build and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
  • Identify and address any issues with equipment performance.
  • Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.
  • Conduct tests on materials or samples to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Required education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred education and experience: Associate's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Quality or related degree preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Technical expertise. Ability to identify and seek needed information. Research skills. Problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • May be requested to work a different shift.
  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
  • This position is Safety-Sensitive.
Travel Requirements
