Job summary

SunOpta in Modesto, CA seeks a QA Technician to perform laboratory testing ensuring ingredients, product, and packaging conform to specifications. You will handle pH, solids/moisture, sodium testing and aseptic package evaluations, while maintaining safe, clean lab practices.

You will communicate results to supervisors, assist with investigations, and uphold GMPs and safety policies in a production environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assure package integrity and product quality by performing laboratory testing and aseptic package evaluation procedures.
• Perform laboratory testing such as pH, solids/moisture, sodium, etc.
• Perform destructive aseptic package testing.
• Collect and communicate lab data to Quality Supervisor and Operations Shift Leaders.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation and calibrate equipment as needed.
• Communicate findings and participate in investigations related to product quality.
