Job summary

SunOpta, Inc. is seeking an FSQ Technician at the Midlothian, TX plant to perform essential laboratory testing ensuring ingredients, product and packaging meet specifications.

The role focuses on accuracy, safety, and effective communication regarding shift and plant performance. The technician will conduct pH, solids/moisture, sodium and other tests, support aseptic package evaluation, and assist with product spoilage investigations while maintaining a clean work environment and adhering to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years related experience in Food Science/Food Technology, or a food or beverage production facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing to assure package integrity and product quality.
• Conduct pH, solids/moisture, sodium testing and other standard analyses.
• Perform descriptive aseptic package testing and microbiology testing including basic plating.
• Collect and communicate lab data to Quality Supervisor and Operations Shift Leaders.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment; ensure proper PPE and safety practices.
• Keep work area clean and organized; support shift handoffs and incident reporting.
