This position works out of Temecula, California location in AVD Vascular business unit. Their solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers. The products are also utilized by laboratory management to ensure efficiency in their operations.

Our client provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.

Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality and overseeing manufacturing processes. This is a hybrid role, involving support for complaint investigation activities within the Abbott product performance group.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct sampling, visual inspections, and work area verifications to ensure adherence to quality standards and manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate products and components to determine compliance with established quality requisites.
  • Implement and maintain an effective quality system, following guidelines such as GMP and ISO 9000.
  • Collaborate with the product performance group to support complaint investigation activities.
  • Utilize basic data analysis skills and knowledge of Excel spreadsheets for effective complaint investigation.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of quality inspections and investigations.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree in Biology, Physics, Mathematics, or Science Education is preferred.
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Basic knowledge of GMP and ISO 9000.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is desirable.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to perform basic data analysis.
