Job summary

Quali Tech LLC, located in Chaska, Minnesota, is hiring a QA Technician for the 3rd shift to ensure product safety and regulatory compliance in our Food Division. You will monitor analytical results, review records, and support the QA program to uphold quality across raw materials and finished products.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 3 years of QA/QC experience in an FDA-regulated environment, or a science degree.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years QA/QC in FDA-regulated industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred.
  • Background in manufacturing and processing environments desired.
  • Proven analytical strengths and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting analytical results of products and raw materials including alerting out of compliance results.
  • Assist in administering the Company's Quality Program: review and development of QA procedures; regular review of production and receiving records; sensory evaluation, visual inspection and analyses of samples.
  • Maintain sample retain library; conduct final wash inspections of production rooms; troubleshoot product discrepancies; internal audits of cGMP areas and premises; maintain lab safety; perform periodic tasks per Food Safety Calendar; conduct environmental analyses and titration analysis of sanitation chemicals.
  • Participate in finished goods hold/release system.
  • Conduct tasks in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Lend technical support to R&D and Operations.
  • Assist in customer complaint investigations.
  • Assist in third-party audits such as BRC, Safe Food/Safe Feed and HACCP.
  • Create and maintain production documents including archival storage and certificates of analysis.

Qualitech is seeking experienced Quality Assurance Tech for 3rd shift to ensure product safety and the quality of all products in the Food Divisions as well as ensuring regulatory compliance with regulatory bodies, customers and QualiTech.

Shift Hours - 9pm to 5.30am (Sunday - Thursday) $3/hr shift differential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting analytical results of products and raw materials including alerting out of compliance results
  • Assist in administering the Company's Quality Program in accordance with customer and company requirements. This includes:
    • Review and assist in development of QA procedures
    • Regular review of production and receiving records
    • Sensory evaluation, visual inspection and analyses (Organoleptic, Moisture, Water Activity) of raw ingredient and finished product samples
    • Maintain sample retain library
    • Conduct final wash inspections of all production rooms
    • Assist in troubleshooting product discrepancies
    • Internal audits of cGMP areas and premises, including glass and brittle inventories
    • Maintain lab safety
    • Conduct Monthly/Quarterly/Bi-Annual/Annual tasks as required by the Food Safety Calendar
    • Conduct environmental analyses, i.e. swabbing
    • Conduct titration analysis of sanitation chemicals
  • Participate in finished goods hold/release system
  • Conduct tasks in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Lend technical support to R&D and Operations as appliable
  • Assist in customer complaint investigations
  • Assist in the compliance with all appropriate third-party audits such as BRC, Safe Food/Safe Feed and HACCP.
  • Create & Maintain production documents including archival storage & organization, master document storage, certificates of analysis.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required and 3 years experience in quality control and assurance in an FDA regulated industry or Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field preferred.
  • A background in manufacturing and processing environments is desired.
  • Proven analytical strengths and experience.
Salary Information

$25 - $28Hourly Wage
