Job summary

Quality Technical in Akron, OH is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Technician to inspect ingredients and packaging for spec compliance, audit production processes, and maintain QA records. Duties include microbiological plating, calibration of equipment, and ensuring packaging/shipping compliance.

The role requires knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF, and SOPs, plus an AA degree and Juice HACCP certification. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Juice HACCP Certification is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, Sanitation, and SQF Programs.

Responsibilities

• Inspects incoming ingredients and packaging material for conformance of product specifications.
• Audits blending and production processes.
• Maintains QA record keeping, filing system, and housekeeping programs.
• Performs microbiological plating functions.
• Monitors compliance with CPF Water Quality Monitoring Program and executes the CPF Retain Program.
• Tracks all aspects of production for compliance to HACCP, GMPs, SQF, and SOPs.
• Responsible for calibration of laboratory and operational equipment.
• Ensures appropriate packaging and timely shipping of all Co-pack samples are complying.
• Inform the Quality Assurance Manager of any negative trends and initiates product on hold reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
