Qualifications
- Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.
- Complete a pre-employment physical and drug test.
- Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to frequently bend, lift, and twist.
- Work overtime as required.
Job Summary
Conducts product sampling as well as chemical, microbiological & physical testing.
Essential Functions
- Basic comprehension of speaking, reading & writing in English.
- Neatly and clearly complete all paperwork.
- Operate and care for computers and related equipment.
- Follow Brakebush Irving, Inc. training programs related to quality and food safety.
- Maintain and clean assigned tools.
- Accurately complete paperwork and database entries in a timely manner.
- Communicate deviations from processes or specifications to supervisors.
- Basic understanding of mathematics (addition, subtraction, percentages, multiplication, division).
- Understand quality control standards (acceptable vs. unacceptable).
- Place product on Hold and complete Hold Tag process accurately and promptly.
- Report concerns related to Production, Safety, Employee Relations to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production demands.
Additional Information
- No supervisory responsibilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Entry-level experience acceptable.
- Work conditions include high noise, varied temperatures, slippery floors, moving equipment, and dust; PPE required.
- Successful pre-employment drug test and background check required.
