Job Summary

Spring Glen Fresh Foods is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician to work the first shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate analytical tests at specific intervals to assess the quality of raw materials, products, and packaging.
• Identify and communicate any problems.
• Closely monitor products during corrective steps, retesting to determine acceptability.
• Place substandard products on hold and coordinate with management for disposition.
• Ensure reworked products are handled properly or disposed of if necessary.
• Monitor sanitation and product hazards on production lines and storage areas.
• Complete and maintain accurate reports as required.
• Assist in obtaining sales samples and managing their shipment.

Qualifications

1. 1 year of experience in food processing and/or quality assurance.
2. Sanitation experience.
3. Good communication skills.
4. Basic math skills.
5. Good computer skills, preferably using Microsoft programs.
6. Ability to administer and delegate work as set by the QA Manager.
7. Ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision.
