Job summary

Pilgrim's in Ellijay, GA is seeking a QA Technician to join our hatchery team. The role focuses on sampling eggs, monitoring temperatures, reporting fertility, and ensuring production quality.

You will record data in Mtech/MyQM, assist night shift coverage, and support various quality checks such as egg pack, chick assessments, and water loss measurements. Must have good hand-eye coordination.

This position requires physical stamina in a hot, wet environment with safety awareness.

• Backup night shift personnel
• Backup embrex and spray vac mixers
• Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by Hatchery Manager.

SUMMARY:

• Pull sample of eggs from machine

QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Continuously: standing, walking
• Frequently: lifting, turning, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, grasping, kneeling, reach forward, pulling stretching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Hot temperatures
• Wet floors
• Ear Plugs

SAFETY FACTORS TO BE AWARE OF:

• Know how to use and locate the emergency stop switch.
• Know location of primary and secondary emergency exits.
• Know and use proper lifting techniques.
