Job description

We are seeking a Quality Technician to join a growing food manufacturing facility on the night shift. This role is essential in maintaining food safety and hygiene standards across the plant, focusing on sanitation, environmental monitoring, and compliance with regulatory and internal quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and enforce hygiene programs including sanitation, zoning, allergen control, pest control, and foreign body prevention.
2. Conduct GMP, pest control, and foreign body inspections across the facility.
3. Lead environmental monitoring efforts and analyze data to identify and eliminate potential risks.
4. Support food safety risk assessments and corrective/preventive actions.
5. Collaborate with contractors and project managers to uphold hygiene standards during facility changes or expansions.
6. Provide training on hygiene and sanitation practices to production staff.
7. Maintain detailed records in compliance with ISO and regulatory standards.
8. Participate in HACCP reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2. Experience with hygiene and sanitation programs in a regulated environment.
3. Knowledge of cGMPs, FDA requirements, and environmental monitoring.
4. Strong understanding of food safety principles and risk assessment.
5. Ability to lead audits, analyze trends, and implement improvements.

Work Environment:

• Split between production floor, lab, and office settings.
• Clean, well-maintained facility with proper PPE required.
• Collaborative team environment with growth opportunities.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range is $32.21 - $35.58/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation, EAP, and PTO. Eligibility and specifics depend on employment status and elections.

Location: Fully onsite in Eau Claire, WI.
