Create and update specifications and related documents for new and existing products for Company facilities and co-packers. Enter data into the system for integration into the material master for new or revised products.
In accordance with QIP, utilizing Optiva, ensure all products have documented requirements.
Gather information for revisions and new specifications, initiate approval processes, and distribute specifications to relevant associates promptly and systematically.
Maintain product data within the Specifications Department document management system (Optiva). Ensure accuracy and support for online system users. Update master files with current specifications, revisions, and correspondence to establish comprehensive product archives.
Maintain product information in the SAP material master.
Maintain the product code master list.
High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
At least 2 years of exposure to various Perdue products and plant processes.
This position is primarily sedentary but may require occasional movement between offices or facilities.
In plant environments, exposure to wet and moist floors, metal and plastic grating surfaces, temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F with humidity, and handling products at 25°F to 50°F.
Potential exposure to noise levels from 50 dB to 110 dB and chemicals used in poultry and food processing.
Must wear appropriate safety equipment as required.
Occasional travel by auto or plane.
