Summary

Develop and update specifications and related documents for new and existing products across company facilities and co-packers. Input data into the system for integration into the material master for new or revised products.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure all products have written requirements in accordance with QIP, utilizing Optiva.
• Gather information for revisions and new specifications, initiate approval processes, and provide timely access to specifications for relevant associates.
• Manage multiple projects to meet deadlines for Marketing, Sales, and Production.
• Prioritize projects and negotiate deadlines based on importance, such as new product launches, cost savings, or quality improvements.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of staff.
• Share completed project information with Production, Supply Planning, Distribution, Accounting, Marketing, R&D, Purchasing, and Sales teams.
• Maintain product data in the Specifications Department system (Optiva) and ensure accuracy on the Perdue Intranet.
• Update specification master files with current data, revisions, and correspondence for proper archiving.
• Maintain product information in SAP material master and product code master list.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience with Perdue products and plant processes.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary role; occasional movement between offices or facilities. In plant environments, exposure to wet, moist floors, temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F, humidity, noise levels of 50-110 dB, and chemicals used in poultry processing. Must wear safety equipment as required.
