Future Form Manufacturing in Sparks, NV is seeking a QA Tech I to assess product quality per specifications using inspection tools. This Regular Full Time position will maintain quality documentation and support ISO 9001 processes.

The role requires performing various QA inspections, reviewing reports, and participating in Lean activities with emphasis on accuracy, teamwork, and communication. On-site work in a manufacturing environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year inspection experience in a precision sheet metal and/or machining environment.
  • Good math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Good ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Good computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • Good communications skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong ability to use a wide variety of precision measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Q.A. inspections including first article, in process, receiving, roving and final as needed, keeping internal customer service a priority.
  • Complete inspection reports and other documentation as required by customers and internal procedures.
  • Review and process shop routers.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in floor inspection activities.
  • Keep records updated, accurate and organized.
  • Maintain the responsibilities of the ISO 9001 system in accordance with the requirements defined in the Quality Manual, and Procedure Level documentation.
  • Participate actively and positively in Lean activities.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must have normal vision (with or without corrective lenses) and hearing (with or without corrective hearing aids).
